Job summary

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Project Manager / Junior Project Manager to support AkzoNobel at the Sassenheim site. You will coordinate facility and building projects with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and CBRE GWS to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

The role requires HBO-level thinking with strong organizational and communication skills, and Dutch/English proficiency.

• Willingness to work on-site in Sassenheim and on site with AkzoNobel projects.

Project Manager / Junior Project Manager As a Project Manager / Junior Project Manager at Turner and Townsend, you will work on-site for our client, AkzoNobel, in Sassenheim. In this versatile and dynamic role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a variety of facility and building-related projects while working closely with a wide range of stakeholders.

AkzoNobel is an international company producing paints and coatings for customers worldwide. The Sassenheim site includes production facilities, research and development laboratories, and oA cespaces. The CBRE GWS and T&T team on-site consists of approximately 28 professionals responsible for delivering both facility services and projects.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated project professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and driving projects from initiation to completion.

Fluency in Dutch is a must.

What are you going to do?
As a Project Manager / Junior Project Manager, you will support and lead the delivery of facility and building-related projects on the AkzoNobel site. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and the CBRE GWS team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from defining project requirements and planning activities through execution, monitoring progress, and project completion.

Examples of projects include:

• Office and workplace improvements
• Building renovations and refurbishments
• HVAC and utility-related upgrades
• Security and access-control improvements
• Infrastructure and site improvement projects
• Sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

You will be responsible for:

• Coordinating projects from initiation through completion
• Managing planning, scope, budget, and timelines
• Coordinating contractors and suppliers during project execution
• Monitoring progress and reporting status to stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with safety and site requirements
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations
• Managing project administration and documentation
• Supporting stakeholder communication and alignment
• Identifying project risks and supporting mitigation actions

In this role, you will act as one of the key points of contact for project-related activities on-site and contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse project portfolio.

• HBO working and thinking level (technical, construction, facility management, architecture, business, or similar)
• Experience in project coordination or project management is preferred
• Ainity with facility, construction, building, or infrastructure projects is an advantage
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and contractors is a plus
• Structured and proactive working style
• VCA VOL certification (or willingness to obtain it)
• HSE awareness is an advantage
• Availability to work on-site in Sassenheim
• Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
