Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain equipment used in fiber array production.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Operator to join our team and practically perform the steps of our fiber array development and production processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with optical devices, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Efficiently run manufacturing equipment and machinery used in the production of fiber arrays, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes continuously to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
  • Quality Control: Execute regular inspections and quality checks to ensure all products meet the required specifications.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.
  • Documentation: Accurately document process parameters, production data, and any deviations or issues encountered during production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and quality assurance teams to implement new processes and troubleshoot existing ones.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience as a Technical Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the optical or photonics industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with fiber array production is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective documentation and collaboration.
  • Education: A technical degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., manufacturing technology, optical engineering) is preferred.
