This fully remote leadership role blends hands‑on engineering with technical strategy, guiding a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager to build scalable MEV services and Ethereum mempool workflows.

You will shape product offerings to maximize validator profitability, collaborate with DeFi researchers, and contribute code to the Blockchain Distribution Network.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead (DeFi) based in Netherlands.

This fully remote leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced software engineer passionate about blockchain technology and decentralized finance.
You will lead a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager while helping shape innovative DeFi infrastructure.
The role combines hands‑on engineering with technical strategy, team development, and product delivery.
You will work on high-performance MEV services and Ethereum mempool transaction workflows.
Your contributions will help improve validator profitability and trading execution for DeFi searchers.
The position offers an opportunity to build scalable distributed systems within a technically ambitious, collaborative environment.
Candidates based in Germany and other eligible locations across Europe or the UK can work remotely.

Accountabilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to break down complex technical challenges.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• A combination of technical leadership experience and hands‑on engineering expertise.
