Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Delft is seeking a Tech Lead to own the technology direction of a key project. You will design, develop, and deliver robust, scalable software, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with business goals and enterprise architecture.

You will drive DevOps adoption, oversee integration with lab and equipment software, and maintain high standards for code quality, test coverage, and security. This role offers growth and impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years designing and delivering enterprise digital solutions.
• Experience with FAIR data capture and management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, APIs, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design and architecture for assigned solution areas, with focus on custom-built and customer-facing scientific software.
• Translate stakeholder and product requirements into actionable technical tasks with clear acceptance criteria.
• Drive operational excellence by implementing DevOps practices and improving system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Oversee development and implementation of solutions ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation and test coverage; manage technical debt proactively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor and coach developers and technical team members, fostering growth and continuous learning.
