Job summary

Decathlon is seeking a Team Leader to drive growth of the sports department and own the department's performance. You will lead with an entrepreneurial mindset, nurture a high-performing team, and ensure top-tier merchandising and stock control.

This fast-track role offers rapid progression toward Store Leader within 3–5 years. You should be passionate about sport, able to inspire others, and ready to work 38 hours weekly including evenings and weekends.

Join Decathlon as a Team Leader and accelerate your career through our high speed management traineeship. Within 3 to 5 years, you could be running your own store as a Store Leader. What Will You Do?

As a Team Leader, you are the entrepreneur of your own sports department, preferably with an affinity for cycling. You take full ownership of your department’s growth and performance.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing the inventory strategy for your sports department
• Coaching and motivating your sales team to achieve stronger results
• Ensuring attractive merchandising and effective stock management
• Identifying new talent and helping team members reach their full potential
• Contributing to sustainable business operations and excellent customer service
• Defining the commercial strategy for your sports department

You:

• Speak Dutch fluently (English is a strong advantage)
• Have a higher professional education level (HBO) or MBO Level 4 combined with a winning mentality
• Are outgoing and able to inspire both colleagues and customers
• Are available 38 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
• Have a strong passion for sport and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with others
• Take initiative and are eager to progress quickly within retail
