Your Role as a Teamlead – Security Architecture & Engineering

As the Team Lead – Security Architecture & Engineering at Shine you drive the design, implementation, and evolution of our security architecture across cloud, applications, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.

This is a leadership role for a hands‑on security professional who can translate business objectives into secure, scalable and resilient technology solutions while leading a high‑performing team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and mentor Security Architects and Security Engineers.
• Define and maintain security architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps.
• Embed Secure‑by‑Design and DevSecOps practices across the technology lifecycle.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modelling, and design assurance activities.
• Drive security engineering initiatives across Cloud Security, CNAPP, IAM, Application Security, Data Security, and Security Automation.
• Lead Virtual Technology Security Committee to ensure security initiatives are prioritised.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, IT and GRC teams to manage security risks and enable innovation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and ensure alignment with security strategy and regulatory requirements.

About you

• Proven experience leading Security Architecture and Engineering functions.
• 10 years experience in the Security field and at least 2 years in a leading position.
• Strong expertise in cloud‑native architectures, application security, IAM, and modern security engineering practices.
• Experience implementing and operating CNAPP, security automation, and secure cloud platforms.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive security outcomes across complex environments.
• Preferred Certifications CCSP, SABSA, AWS/Azure/GCP Security Certifications.
