Job summary

Embotech, a cutting-edge software scale-up, is seeking a Field System Operator to join its Maasvlakte 2 team in Rotterdam. You will safely drive test vehicles during autonomous driving trials and operate autonomous systems under the guidance of Systems Engineers.

The role involves setting up tests, monitoring sessions, reporting results, occasional travel to customer sites, and helping prepare digital maps.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CE driving license and have the right to work in the Netherlands with freedom to travel in the EU and Switzerland.
• Strong command of English is required for collaboration and reporting.
• Clean Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort with generic software tools are needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive testing vehicles safely during autonomous driving trials.
• Operate autonomous systems under guidance of systems engineers: set up tests, monitor tests, report results.
• Occasional travel to customer sites or other testing areas for a few days (travel costs covered).
• Help prepare digital maps used for testing.
• Support engineers with mechanical or electrical tasks on vehicles.
• Help keep vehicles in good condition.

Requirements

• CE driving license
• Valid right to work in the Netherlands, and unrestricted travel in EU and Switzerland
• Good command of English
• A clean Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG/statement of good behavior)
• General familiarity with working on computers
