Job summary

YER zoekt een engineer die geavanceerde regelconcepten ontwikkelt voor Heavy Duty dieselmotoren en aandrijflijnsystemen, met focus op emissiebeheersing en diagnostiek.

Je vertaalt emissie- en OBD-eisen naar robuuste strategieën en ontwikkelt concepten met SIL, HIL en RCP, inclusief tests op motor- en voertuigniveau. Je werkt als integrator tussen leveranciers en interne teams en documenteert controller-eisen nauwkeurig.

Qualifications

• Kennis van motor-, uitlaatgas- en OBD-systemen.
• Ervaring met SIL, HIL en Rapid Control Prototyping.
• Goede samenwerking in multidisciplinaire teams.

Responsibilities

• Ontwikkel geavanceerde regelconcepten en functionaliteiten voor Heavy Duty dieselmotoren en aandrijflijnsystemen, met focus op emissiebeheersing en diagnostiek.
• Vertaal emissie-, OBD- en productvereisten naar robuuste strategieën.
• Neem leidende rol in ontwikkeling van emissie-gerelateerde controles en OBD/OBM-concepten.
• Draag Engine/Aftertreatment/OBD-kennis over aan het team en help visie te vormen.
• Ontwikkel en integreer regelconcepten met SIL, HIL en RCP, en test op motor- en voertuigniveau.
• Fungeer als technisch integrator tussen leveranciers en interne stakeholders.
• Verifieer en valideer functies met SIL, HIL, RCP en testen.
• Maak en onderhoud duidelijke documentatie van controller-eisen.
• Ondersteun calibratie engineers bij initiële kalibratie.
• Ondersteun software-implementatie, object-code generatie en integratie.
• Neem initiatief om tools en processen te verbeteren.
• Werk effectief samen in multidisciplinaire projectteams.

Wat ga je doen:

• Develop advanced control concepts and functionalities for Heavy Duty Diesel engine/powertrain systems, with a focus on engine, aftertreatment, emission control and diagnostic functions.
• Translate new emission, OBD and product requirements into robust and implementable control strategies and functionalities.
• Take charge in the development of emission-related controls and OBD / OBM concepts, including the definition, specification and alignment of system and controller requirements.
• Share Engine, Aftertreatment and OBD expertise with group and support creating vision for future concepts
• Develop and integrate control concepts using development environments such as SIL, HIL and Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP), including testing on engine and vehicle level where applicable.
• Play a key role as a technical integrator between suppliers and PACCAR internal stakeholders to develop the control concepts, ensuring alignment between requirements, controls, software implementation, calibration and system-level behavior.
• Verify and validate control functionalities using SIL, HIL, RCP, engine and/or vehicle testing as applicable.
• Create and maintain unambiguous documentation of controller requirements on engine/aftertreatment system level
• Support calibration engineers with the initial calibration of newly developed and integrated control functionalities.
• Support software implementation, object-code generation, integration and maintenance where required.
• Take initiative to constantly improve related tools and processes
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams, working across controls, software, calibration, diagnostics and system engineering disciplines.
