Job summary

The role involves OR preparation, instrument handling, assisting or circulating during planned and emergency procedures, maintaining sterility and patient safety, and supporting students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment before surgery.
• Work as instrumenting, assisting, or circulating surgical assistant during procedures.
• Monitor instruments, sterility, and patient safety.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team during procedures.
• Assist with medical procedures under supervision.
• Support and reassure patients and relatives when required.
• Contribute to quality and safety improvements and working processes.
• Support and guide students and junior colleagues.
• Work according to professional and evidence-based standards.
