Job summary

Ketjen Corporation in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across technical installations. You will manage a team of 5–10, prepare work plans, supervise stops and projects, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

You will collaborate with Operations, Planning and Contractors, maintain compliance with safety rules, and drive optimal performance of facilities

Qualifications

• Minimum MBO-4 qualification in a technical field or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in the chemical or process industry.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Maintenance knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation).
• Knowledge of safety, environment, HSE and relevant regulations.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems.
• Good command of Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities according to the two-week plan.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of about 5–10 technicians.
• Distribute and prioritize work with stakeholders, considering planning, staffing, and HSE aspects.
• Hold safety briefings, toolbox talks and performance reviews.
• Manage personnel matters, such as leave, timesheets and sick leave.
• Ensure safe execution using permits, TRA’s and work instructions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning and Contractors to align maintenance activities.
• Support maintenance stops and projects and contribute to process improvements.

Maintenance Supervisor (EIA)

De Maintenance Supervisor is verantwoordelijk voor het aansturen en coördineren van de uitvoering van onderhoudswerkzaamheden volgens het tweewekenplan. De focus ligt op veilige, kwalitatieve en efficiënte uitvoering van onderhoud, modificaties en renovaties aan technische installaties, binnen het bedrijfsbeleid en de geldende wet- en regelgeving. Werkzaamheden: Leidinggeven en coördinatie. Leidinggeven aan de uitvoering van onderhoudswerkzaamheden. Aansturen, begeleiden en ontwikkelen van een team van circa 5 tot 10 medewerkers. In overleg met klanten, direct betrokkenen en belanghebbenden het verdelen en prioriteren van werkzaamheden op basis van planning, beschikbaarheid van medewerkers en HSE aspecten. Voeren van werkoverleggen, toolboxmeetings en functionerings- en beoordelingsgesprekken. Regelen van personele aangelegenheden zoals verlof, urenregistratie en ziekte. Waarnemen van knelpunten en het aandragen van oplossingen hiervoor, eventueel in overleg met betrokkenen en/of specialisten. Veiligheid en regelgeving Naleven en handhaven van veiligheids-, milieu- en bedrijfsvoorschriften. Actief uitdragen van veiligheidsbewustzijn binnen het team. Zorgen voor veilige uitvoering van werkzaamheden via werkvergunningen, TRA’s en werkinstructies. Signaleren en bespreken van structurele knelpunten. Onderhoud en afstemming. Coördineren van onderhoudswerkzaamheden conform technische specificaties. Afstemmen met Operations, Werkvoorbereiding, Planning en Contractors. Bewaken van voortgang en rapporteren van afwijkingen. Voorbereiden en ondersteunen van stops en onderhoudsprojecten. Bijdragen aan verbetering van onderhoudsprocessen en werkmethodes. Je zorgt ervoor dat installaties optimaal presteren en draagt actief bij aan continue verbetering van processen, werkmethoden en technische betrouwbaarheid. Advisering en rapportage. Adviseren van Maintenance Engineering over Maintenance plannen, tasklists en spare parts. Ondersteunen van Inkoop en Werkvoorbereiding bij leverancierskeuzes. Vastleggen van onderhoudsgegevens in o.a. SAP. Bijdragen aan het bijwerken van technische documentatie en as‑built tekeningen.

Kennis en ervaring

• Minimaal MBO‑4 opleiding in een technische richting of vergelijkbaar
• 5–7 jaar relevante ervaring binnen de chemische of procesindustrie
• Ervaring met leidinggeven aan technische teams
• Vakinhoudelijke kennis van onderhoud (WTB of E&I)
• Kennis van veiligheid, milieu, ARBO en relevante wetgeving
• Ervaring met SAP of vergelijkbare systemen
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels
