Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the Netherlands seeks a PAC Commissioning Engineer (Protection, Automation & Control) to lead testing, commissioning and hand-over of protection, automation and control systems for HV substations.

You will configure relays, perform FAT/SAT, and support IEC 61850 and Modbus communications while coordinating with engineering teams and customers across international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Automation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and validate protection relays (SIPROTEC, Digital Twin).
• Perform functional testing of station automation systems, SCADA, RTUs, HMIs (SICAM A8000/S8000) and communications.
• Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation, testing, and energization.
• Support system integration and testing based on IEC 61850, Modbus and other protocols.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test documentation, and hand-over dossiers.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, customers and contractors.
