Job summary

Selby Jennings is representing a leading international financial institution seeking a Structured Finance Lawyer to join its EMEA Legal team in Amsterdam. The role offers exposure to cross-border financing in a highly commercial environment and will involve close collaboration with front office, risk, compliance and external counsel.

You will advise on a broad range of financing transactions and structured products, helping to execute deals across the EMEA region while navigating regulatory

Qualifications

• 2-6 years PQE in structured finance or related fields.
• Experience at a leading international law firm or financial institution.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent commercial judgment and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Advising on structured finance, securitisation and specialty finance transactions.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation.
• Supporting fund finance, real estate finance and other structured lending matters.
• Advising on derivatives and hedging documentation including ISDA, CSA and GMRA agreements.
• Providing legal support on new product development and strategic initiatives.
• Managing external counsel relationships and legal spend.
• Identifying legal, regulatory and reputational risks across transactions.
• Partnering with stakeholders across multiple EMEA jurisdictions on complex financing solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 2-6 years' PQE.
• Experience gained at a leading international law firm or financial institution.
• Strong technical knowledge of structured finance, securitisation, derivatives, fund finance or capital markets transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
