Job summary

Iv is seeking a structural engineer to work on complex projects in the Building & Construction team in Arnhem or Haarlem. You will perform structural calculations for concrete and steel, ensure designs meet Eurocode standards, and collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will engage with clients, project leaders and contractors, while staying involved on site to identify bottlenecks and propose practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Higher professional education or university degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience as a structural engineer.
• Knowledge of Eurocode and current standards.
• Experience with steel and concrete structures, preferably in an industrial context.
• Experience with design and calculation programmes such as Idea StatiCa and SCIA.
• Willingness to learn, be self-critical and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations and designs for concrete and steel structures.
• Translate requirements into feasible, safe solutions for practical use.
• Consult with colleagues from other disciplines and liaise with clients, project leaders and contractors.
• Remain involved on site to identify bottlenecks and contribute ideas for solutions.
