Job summary

Huisman in Schiedam seeks an experienced Senior Category Manager to develop and execute category strategies for indirect and operational spend. You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract optimization and governance to create sustainable value for our global operations.

The role requires at least 8 years in strategic procurement, strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, and a track record in industrial/energy environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in strategic procurement or category management.
• Proven lead on strategic sourcing projects and supplier negotiations.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing or energy sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of category strategies for indirect and operational spend.
• Manage strategic sourcing, tender processes and supplier agreements.
• Strengthen governance and ensure supply continuity and value creation.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Engineering and Legal to translate business needs into sourcing strategies.
