Job summary

Kyndryl Inc. in the Netherlands is seeking a Storage Architect to design, build, and deliver storage solutions within a complex private cloud. You will define storage architectures, translate operational needs into technical designs, and ensure security and resilience.

You will work with NAS, Block and Object storage, backup/recovery, and storage virtualization, collaborating with engineers and Defence experts in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as Storage Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with large infrastructure or transformation programs.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or equivalent architecture methodologies.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
• Experience with stakeholder management at operational, tactical and strategic levels.

Responsibilities

• Define storage architectures following Secure by Design principles.
• Translate operational needs into technical designs.
• Design and implement storage solutions in private cloud environments.
• Integrate storage with compute, virtualization, security, PKI and IAM.
• Develop strategies for cyber resiliency, backup and disaster recovery.
• Create standards, reference architectures and quality criteria.
• Mentor domain architects, engineers and implementation teams.
• Identify risks and advise on technology developments.
• Participate in Design Authority and influence architecture choices.

The Role

Wat ga je doen?

Als Storage Architect ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en realiseren van storage-oplossingen binnen een complexe private cloudomgeving. Je houdt je onder andere bezig met:

• Definiëren van storage-architecturen volgens Secure by Design-principes.
• Vertalen van operationele behoeften en programma-eisen naar technische ontwerpen.
• Ontwerpen en implementeren van storage‑oplossingen binnen private cloudomgevingen.
• Integreren van storage met compute, virtualisatie, security, PKI en IAM.
• Ontwikkelen van strategieën voor cyber resiliency, back‑up en disaster recovery.
• Opstellen van standaarden, referentiearchitecturen en kwaliteitscriteria.
• Begeleiden van domeinarchitecten, engineers en implementatieteams.
• Signaleren van risico's en adviseren over technologische ontwikkelingen.
• Deelnemen aan de Design Authority en meebeslissen over architectuurkeuzes met grote impact.
• Bewaken van lifecycle management, continuïteit, beschikbaarheid en schaalbaarheid van storage‑diensten.

Who You Are

Algemene kennis en ervaring

• 5 jaar ervaring als Storage Architect binnen complexe enterprise‑omgevingen.
• Ervaring met grote infrastructuur‑of transformatieprogramma's.
• Kennis van architectuurmethodieken zoals TOGAF.
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden in zowel Nederlands als Engels.
• Ervaring met stakeholdermanagement op operationeel, tactisch en strategisch niveau.
• Een combinatie van leiderschap, ondernemerschap en teamgerichtheid.
