Job summary

HR ProjectPartners BV in the Rotterdam area is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Static) to lead the design, engineering, and detailing of static process equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers and columns.

You will collaborate with project managers, production teams and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and client requirements, applying relevant codes and standards while contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in the design and engineering of static process equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME, EN, and PED design codes and standards.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as Solid Edge or Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good command of English; Dutch language is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage technical priorities.
• Based locally in the Netherlands, preferably within commuting distance of Rotterdam.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop static process equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers and columns.
• Perform mechanical calculations per applicable codes and standards (ASME, EN, PED).
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, datasheets, and drawings.
• Coordinate technical matters with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
• Support manufacturing, quality control and inspection during project execution.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges to meet project requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering processes and design quality.
