Job summary

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company combining technology and marketing. This freelance Designer role sits in the Global Studios team, crafting emotive, conversion-focused digital designs at scale.

You’ll collaborate with strategists, designers, and copywriters to meet client briefs and uphold DEPT®’s design standards. Responsibilities include end-to-end design work, idea generation at briefs, image sourcing, and creating assets for on-site, app, and email channels.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital design using industry-standard tools (Figma).
• Excellent eye for typography, layout and visual balance.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Work on briefs from start to finish and deliver high-quality design work.
• Contribute innovative ideas at creative briefs and adapt to client goals.
• Source images and perform digital artworking for assets.
• Develop rich visual content for onsite, app, and email channels.
• Mentor junior team members and absorb constructive feedback.
• Ensure timely delivery and flawless design output.
• Create short animations for digital assets when needed.

JOB PURPOSE:**

This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients.

As a Designer, you will be creating engaging designs that start conversations between people and brands. You’ll work within a team of strategists, designers and copywriters to deliver impactful designs that fulfil client briefs and communicate DEPT®’s standard of Design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working on a brief from start to finish.

• Contributing with innovative ideas at creative briefs.

• Creating high quality design work.

• Image sourcing and digital artworking.

• Developing rich visual content for owned channels: onsite, app and email.

• Always striving to create work that contributes to client business goals.

• Staying current with design and marketing trends.

• Learn and grow from constructive feedback.

• Being able to mentor more junior members of the team.

• Taking accountability for flawless design output.

• Delivering work on time and within the scheduled timeframes.

• Designing small animations for digital assets.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Digital design experience on industry standard design frameworks like Figma.

• Self driven and resourceful.

• Good eye for layout, skilled in typesetting and retouching.

• A great teammate that supports their colleagues and doesn’t act as an individual.

• Very organised with attention to detail.

• Has a desire to embrace new skills and challenges.

• Motion and 3D experience is a plus.
