Under Armour, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – EMEA to lead the HR POD for the region. You will drive talent strategy, succession and performance processes, and partner with global COEs to shape HR programs across the EMEA BU.

The Sr. Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – EMEA is responsible for the leadership and effective operation of the HR POD in the region EMEA. In region, the Sr. Director, HRBP is accountable for the full spectrum of delivered HR practices for the business unit including; talent strategy, succession planning & performance management, talent acquisition, organizational design and effectiveness, training & development, teammate relations, compensation & benefits.
Consults, coaches and influences the EMEA MD and their BU management team in the development and execution of business specific people strategy and tactics, aligned to the HR Life Cycle Processes, with particular responsibility on the people components in the BU Long Range Plan.
Leader of the EMEA HR POD, directly accountable for leading, developing and retaining HRBP and COE talent, indirectly for the cross-functional POD members such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Total Rewards.
Coaches L3 teammates on career development and effective team dynamics
Engage global HR COEs to create and deploy:
Talent acquisition strategy delivering a consistent pipeline of internal and external talent
Proper application of benefits and rewards programs
Training and development programs to meet the needs of the business unit
Establishing wage and salary structure, pay policies
Compliance with applicable employment regulations
Represents the Employer in the Netherlands Works Councils, German Works Council, French Social-Economic Committee and any other formal teammate representation bodies to the extent required.
Promote and establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale; drive the UA culture through all levels of the business unit.
Proactively seek knowledge of both industry and functional specialty researching best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements and benchmark comparison’s in order to create HR practices that are best in class.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
Minimally 10 years of Human Resources management and leadership experience to provide direction to a regional or functional team.
Proven knowledge of all core HR processes including performance management, organization design, leadership development, talent management, compensation, succession planning, training and organizational development.
Ability to flex between global program requirements and regional nuance
Knowledge of labor law in the Netherlands and at least one other European jurisdiction would be a plus
Solution oriented with a can-do mentality
Coach, mentor, and motivate team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Prior experience clearly expressing complex ideas and strong presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
Fluent in English and at least one other European language (Dutch preferred).
Prior experience leading human resources in a highly matrixed organization with critical interdependencies on global stakeholders
Prior experience promoting an atmosphere which inspires people leaders to excel and develop their teams.
Experience working with an employee representation body such as a works council in a European jurisdiction will be a plus
Prior experience providing confidential counseling and coaching to senior level people leaders. Exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Proven experience working well with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships.
Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
