Qualifications

• Current certification and registration as a Teacher Assistant issued by the New York State Education Department.
• Enthusiasm for working with children with disabilities.
• Effective written and oral communication skills including motivation and data collection.
• Ability to assist with personal care tasks including toileting.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers with educational activities and provides instructional support.
• Maintains health and safety policies in the classroom.
• Facilitates small academic groups and provides one-on-one support.
• Assists with maintaining cleanliness of the assigned classroom.
