Job summary

cosine is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Space Technology in the Netherlands to ensure reliability of advanced space instrumentation equipment. You will maintain cleanroom systems, precision manufacturing machinery, and specialized lab equipment in a dynamic, high-tech setting.

The role involves leading preventive maintenance, diagnosing failures, managing spare parts, and coordinating with suppliers, all while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related.
• Experience maintaining technical equipment in production, lab, or high-tech environments.
• Experience with maintenance or asset management systems.
• VCA-VOL certification or equivalent safety qualification.
• Electrical work certification or willingness to obtain.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute, optimize, and improve preventive maintenance plans for cleanroom systems, lab equipment, and precision manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnose technical failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
• Maintain and improve critical equipment supporting development and production of space instrumentation.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance materials, external suppliers, and records to ensure continuity.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and create a safe working environment.
