European Space Agency seeks an Intern in the Mechanical Department—Mechanisms Section to contribute to spacecraft mechanism design, analysis and testing. Work will span from concept studies to hardware verification, using MATLAB/Simulink, CAD tools like FreeCAD or SolidWorks, and advanced simulation tools such as Abaqus and COMSOL.

The internship is based at Noordwijk, NL, with the requirement to remain enrolled at your university for the full duration.

Competenze

• University student in Masters level, enrolled for the entire internship duration.
• English and French working languages; knowledge of another ESA language is a plus.
• Competence in Mechanical/Mechatronics disciplines and familiarity with engineering software tools.

Mansioni

• Support design, analysis and testing activities in space mechanisms.
• Contribute to feasibility assessments of new mechanism concepts.
• Assist in project reviews and Concurrent Design Facility studies.
• Support hands‑on lab activities in ESTEC facilities and additive manufacturing prototyping.
