Job summary

ATG Europe is seeking a Materials Engineer to support the ESA TEC department in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The role involves providing technical support for structures, mechanisms and materials through all project phases, including design reviews and failure investigations, as well as contributing to R&D studies and safety reviews.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in materials or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in materials and structural analyses is desirable.
• Familiarity with failure investigations and NRBs/MPCB reviews preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to ESA in structures, mechanisms and materials from phase 0 to phase E.
• Support review of industry proposals during ITT process as external expert.
• Contribute to CDF studies with engineering assessment and reporting.
• Identify critical development problems and assist in their resolution.
• Participate in design follow-up, cross-analyses and shadow engineering of industry output.
• Perform analyses to support materials development for subsystems.
• Actively participate in safety and NRB/NRB-related reviews and meetings.
