TNO Information Services is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable designs for SAP, ERP, and related systems. You will shape architectural roadmaps, assess impacts, and guide projects across multi-vendor environments in a dynamic innovation setting.

Qualifications

• Master's level working and thinking capability in a relevant field.
• At least five years of experience in solution/lead/technical architecture.
• Experience with complex ERP and enterprise applications.

• Knowledge of integration platforms, APIs, data exchange and analytics solutions.
• Experience with cloud transformation and platform modernization.
• Experience operating in multi-vendor, multi-stakeholder environments.

About this position

What will be your role?Translate business requirements into feasible, secure and maintainable solution designs.Develop architectural solutions for SAP, ERP and related business applications.Assess the impact of changes across processes, applications, data, integrations and operations.Advise on ERP roadmaps, cloud transformation, integration strategies, data platforms and AI adoption.Connect business stakeholders, architects, project teams, operations teams and suppliers around shared solutions.Review supplier proposals and designs for quality, alignment and future sustainability.Support projects and transformation initiatives through clear architectural guidance.Ensure alignment with enterprise, information, security and operational architecture principles.

The team

You will join TNO Information Services, the organization responsible for ICT services across TNO. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, information architects, DevOps teams, project managers, application specialists and external service providers. The environment combines innovation with operational reliability. You will work in a landscape where SAP, cloud platforms, data solutions and modern integration technologies come together, making architecture a key driver of TNO's digital transformation.

What we expect from you

• Master's level working and thinking capability, preferably in Computer Science, Business Information Management, Engineering Management or a related field.
• At least five years of experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Consultant, Technical Architect or a comparable role.
• Experience with complex ERP and enterprise application environments.
• Affinity with SAP and sufficient knowledge to guide architectural decision-making.
• Knowledge of integration platforms, APIs, data exchange and analytics solutions.
• Experience with cloud transformation, hybrid landscapes and platform modernization.
• Experience operating in multi-vendor and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong learning agility and the ability to quickly master new technologies and business domains.
