Job summary

The role requires deep domain knowledge in collections and risk, strong stakeholder influence, and a track record of delivering scalable, secure architectures in regulated financial services.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering, solution or enterprise architecture.
Experience architecting banking/financial platforms.
Leads cloud-native transformation initiatives.
Experience in collections, recovery, lending or risk domains.
Worked in regulated financial services environments.
Strong business-to-technology translation and target-state architecture.
Ability to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience producing architecture artefacts and roadmaps.
Experience with Azure, AI-assisted engineering, GitHub Copilot, and modern API patterns.

Responsibilities

Act as architecture lead for Collections & Distressed Client Management initiatives.
Translate strategy and regulatory needs into target-state architectures and roadmaps.
Provide guidance across Early/Late Collections, Debt Treatment, and Debt Recovery.
Design scalable, cloud-native, event-driven architectures.
Lead design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Define integration strategies across core banking, risk, CRM and data platforms.
Develop technical roadmaps and standards; mentor engineers and leads.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of strategic technology solutions within the Collections and Distressed Client Management domain.

The role combines strong business and technology architecture expertise, requiring a solid understanding of the credit lifecycle, customer default management, collections, forbearance, debt treatment, and recovery processes, alongside modern cloud-native architecture practices.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Domain Architecture

Act as the architecture lead for Collections and Distressed Client Management initiatives.
Translate business strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational needs into target-state architectures and solution roadmaps.
Provide architectural guidance across:
- Early Collections
- Late Collections
- Debt Treatment
- Debt Recovery

Solution Design & Technology Leadership

Design scalable, cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
Lead solution design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Define integration strategies across core banking, risk, CRM and data platforms.
Develop architecture roadmaps and technical standards.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient and maintainable.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

Engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
Facilitate architecture governance forums and technical decision-making.
Produce architecture documentation, standards, roadmaps and technical designs.
Mentor engineers and technical leads on architectural best practices.
Align business objectives, risk requirements and technology investments.
