Job summary

ScreenPoint Medical seeks a hands-on Tech Lead to guide one of our engineering teams and advance AI-enabled solutions into clinical practice. You will lead software engineers, data engineers, and QA to solve challenging technical problems while remaining deeply involved in product and AI system development.

You will drive technical progress, coach team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate clinical workflows into practical software solutions, while contributing to verification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong software development experience, preferably with C++ and Python.
• Experience leading or technically guiding a team of engineers.
• Ability to break down complex technical challenges and guide a team toward practical solutions.
• Experience with continuous integration, testing practices, issue tracking, and version control systems.
• Good understanding of network and security considerations.
• Excellent communication skills in English with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on mindset balancing technical execution with team leadership.
• Strong AI savviness; evaluate AI-enabled development tools and apply your judgement.

Job description

As we continue to grow at ScreenPoint Medical, we are looking for a hands‑on Tech Lead to lead one of our engineering teams and help bring our AI solutions into clinical practice.

In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with day‑to‑day team leadership. You will guide software engineers, data engineers, and QA Test Engineers in solving complex technical challenges, while remaining closely involved in the development of our software products and AI systems.

You will be responsible for technical progress within the team, including planning, prioritization, coaching, and collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and drive technical progress through sprint planning, prioritization, and monitoring of progress.


• Build and maintain software and services that bring our AI solutions into clinical practice.


• Guide engineers in solving complex technical challenges and making sound technical decisions.


• Provide technical and personal leadership through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback.


• Understand complex clinical workflows and translate these into practical technical solutions.


• Communicate progress, technical decisions, risks, and results clearly to stakeholders within and outside the company.


• Contribute hands‑on to software development where needed, particularly in C++ and Python.


• Support verification and validation activities in collaboration with the QA testing team.


• Promote strong engineering practices, including continuous integration, test‑driven development, version control, issue tracking, security, and quality.


• Encourage effective and responsible use of AI tools within the team to improve engineering productivity, problem‑solving, testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Job requirements

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.


• Strong software development experience, preferably with C++ and Python.


• Experience leading or technically guiding a team of engineers.


• The ability to break down complex technical challenges and guide a team toward practical solutions.


• Experience with continuous integration, testing practices, issue tracking, and version control systems.


• Good understanding of network and security considerations.


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.


• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.


• A hands‑on mindset and the ability to balance technical execution with team leadership.


• Strong AI savviness; you actively use and evaluate AI‑enabled development tools to improve the way you work, while applying your own technical judgement and critically validating their output.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience developing medical device software or other regulated software products.


• Experience working with AI or machine learning systems in production.


• Experience with verification and validation of software products.


• Experience working with complex clinical or healthcare workflows.


• Previous experience coaching or mentoring engineers.


• Experience working in a fast‑growing or changing engineering environment.


• Experience in healthcare or medical devices is a plus, not a requirement. We are looking for a technically strong leader who can combine hands‑on engineering with coaching, ownership, and the ability to learn our clinical and regulatory environment quickly.
