Telespazio Belgium, operating at ESTEC in the Netherlands, seeks a Software Product Assurance Support Engineer as a contractor. You will help implement PA requirements and engage with ESA reviews, leveraging ECSS standards and security best practices.

The role emphasizes space software assurance, ML QA, and big data architectures with a hybrid work arrangement and relocation support to the Netherlands.

Formación

• Master’s degree in software engineering or computer science with background in space engineering.
• Relevant Software Product Assurance experience.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards, especially RD-01 and RD-02.
• Quality assurance for ML models and data quality.
• Big Data software architectures and lifecycle knowledge.
• Configuration management of complex systems with traceability.
• Hands-on experience with static code analysis and related tools.
• Awareness of security best practices in software engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to establishing programmatic and technical PA requirements under ESA policy.
• Evaluate contractor plans and specifications for PA compliance.
• Review PA plans and compliance matrices against PA & Engineering requirements.
• Monitor SW PA documentation, processes and reports.
• Attend project/mission reviews and meetings as requested.
• Participate in project reviews, CBs, NRRBs and Software Review Boards.
• Prepare design trade-offs and analyses using metrics for project decisions.
• Participate in software product evaluations and process assessments.
• Maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs and action items.

Telespazio Belgium has an on-site service at ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we are looking for a highly skilled Software Product Assurance Support Engineer to work there.

What is expected from you:

• The following task shall be performed in support to the ESA Work package Technical
• Responsible of the service:
• Contribute to the establishing of the programmatic and technical software PA requirements within the framework of the ESA Software Product Assurance policy.
• Evaluate contractor’s plans, technical specifications and efforts proposed for the execution of the S/W PA programme, and their compliance with respect to the applicable baseline.
• Review of the project/mission PA plans and the compliance matrix w.r.t. the PA & Engineering Requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of SW PA documentation, processes and procedures analyses, reports and technical notes.
• Monitoring of project/mission analysis activities in order to ensure proper implementation of the PA & Engineering Requirements, including attendance to project/mission reviews and meetings when requested.
• Participate to project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards, Nonconformance Review Boards and Software Review Boards.
• Prepare design trade-offs, analyses and reports using metrics to support project decisions.
• Participate to software product evaluations and process assessments.
• Establish and maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs, action items etc. as required.

What you offer:

• Master’s degree in software engineering or computer science with background on space engineering.
• Relevant Software Product Assurance experience.
• Familiarity with space product assurance practices together with a good working knowledge of appropriate working tools.
• Practical experience in applying ECSS standards, more specifically [RD-01], and[RD-02].

Where:

You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
