We're looking for a versatile Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering organization and help shape the resilience, performance, and developer experience of Adyen's database platform. In 2026, this platform supports payments and money movement totaling over a trillion euros - the work you do will have a real, high-stakes impact.
You'll join the SQL Databases Enablement Team, whose mission is to improve the efficiency of the SQL Databases Teams as well as to enable the autonomy of the database owners while maintaining data durability and database uptime." We are responsible for providing better insight into databases, the release tools to manage schema changes safely, as well as the extension of databases both to new DCs and existing ones as well as deployment to bare metal and OpenStack, and various additional tools automated and semi-automated. You'll work across networking, compute, and storage, designing systems that detect failures and recover automatically with minimal downtime.
