Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior SharePoint Migration & Solutions Developer with proven experience delivering end-to-end SharePoint migration and modernisation projects.
This is not a lift-and-shift role.
You will be responsible for:
- Re-engineering legacy solutions (e.g. Nintex, customisations)
- Delivering modern, scalable SharePoint Online solutions
You will work within a structured Agile/DevOps environment, contributing to both migration delivery and solution development.
SharePoint Migration (MANDATORY)
You must have hands-on experience delivering SharePoint migrations, not just supporting or observing them.
Required Experience
- Using tools such as ShareGate
- Planning and executing migrations end-to-end
- Conducting:
- Content inventory and assessment
- Data cleansing and restructuring
- Adhering to a migration strategy
- Maintaining/ updating DevOps (or similar tool) with migration progress
Complex Migration Handling
- Permissions and security structures
- Version history migration
- Large lists and libraries
- Post-migration validation and issue resolution
- Creation of technical documents
SharePoint Development (MANDATORY)
You must have hands-on development experience building SharePoint solutions, not just configuring the platform.
Required Experience
- Developing solutions in:
- SharePoint Online (M365)
- Strong experience with:
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- REST APIs / Microsoft Graph
Solution Delivery
- Rebuilding legacy SharePoint customisations into modern solutions
- Developing custom web parts and extensions
- Identifying and redesigning unsupported components
- Maintaining alignment with existing environment (look & feel; branding; functionality etc.)
Workflow Transformation
- Analyse and reverse-engineer Nintex (On-Prem) workflows and forms
- Power Automate
- Power Apps
Focus on improving and modernising logic, not just migrating workflows
SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Expertise
- Strong understanding of:
- Modern vs Classic experience
- Site collections, lists, libraries, and pages
- Permissions and security models
- Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Teams
- OneDrive
- Microsoft 365 Groups
Security & Compliance
- SharePoint Online permissions model
- Microsoft 365 compliance features:
- Sensitivity labels
Validation & Post-Migration Support
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Perform post-migration validation
- Troubleshoot migration and solution issues
- Provide Hypercare and stabilisation support
DevOps & Delivery Framework
Work within Azure DevOps
- Work item tracking (Features, User Stories, Tasks)
- Effort estimation and delivery tracking
- Continuous improvement of delivery practices
What a Strong Candidate Looks Like
You will likely have:
- Rebuilt Nintex / legacy workflows into modern solutions
- Developed SPFx web parts or custom SharePoint components
- Worked across migration + development within the same project
- Experience working in structured delivery environments
Required Experience
- 6-8+ years working with SharePoint (mandatory)
- Proven experience in both SharePoint migration and SharePoint development
- Strong problem-solving and solution design capability
- Experience working directly with stakeholders
