Job summary

Vestas seeks Service Technicians to join our Groningen-based field operations team. You will perform daily maintenance and field service tasks, handling electrical and mechanical operations on wind turbines and installations.

The role involves working with high voltage, at heights, and using monitoring systems while upholding safety standards. The ideal candidate has an electrical or mechanical background, basic MS Office skills, strong English, and a valid B license.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualification in electricity or mechanics.
• Hydraulics experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Very good knowledge of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Driver's license class B.
• Curiosity to learn about wind turbines.

We are responsible for the service and maintenance of the wind turbines across the Groningenarea. Are you interested in new technology and have an electrical, mechanical or hydraulics background? About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Perform daily maintenance and other field service-related tasks
• Be responsible for electrical and mechanical operations
• Cover installation activities, such as usage of our systems like condition monitoring / remote control, create follow up orders, etc.
• Work with high voltage and at heights.
• Work to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met
• Carry out periodic service inspections following Vestas specifications, such as identifying component replacement (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) and troubleshooting the systems

About the qualifications and experience

In this role, we are ready to train and develop you, but there are a few prerequisites for success. We expect you to have:

• Experience or qualification in electricity or mechanics
• Hydraulics experience, however, it is not a prerequisite
• Basic knowledge of MS Office
• Very good knowledge of English, Dutch will be an added advantage.
• Driver's license class B
• Natural curiosity to develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines
