Job description

About Verve

Verve is a strategic branding studio with offices in Amsterdam and The Hague. We work with technology companies at the moments that matter most: a rebrand, a funding round, going international. Concept‑first. Strategy‑led. Digitally native.

We built Miro’s brand when visual collaboration barely existed as a category. We rebranded Lebara across five European markets. We worked with Flutterwave as they grew from a $3B to a $5B valuation. The work here is serious. So is the ambition.

What You’ll Do

You work at the intersection of brand and product, taking strategic direction from a creative director and making it real, scalable, and beautiful on screen.

You create exceptional digital design. You understand how typography, colour, layout, motion, and interaction work together to create experiences that feel both distinctive and on‑brand. You care about the details and you take pride in work that holds up under scrutiny.

You build and evolve design systems. You are fluent in Figma: component libraries, tokens, variables, auto layout. You think beyond individual screens, designing scalable solutions that work across every touchpoint. You structure your files so developers can build from them without asking questions.

You bring product thinking to brand work. You understand interaction logic and design patterns. You ask how something functions, not just how it looks. You think about what happens to your decisions downstream.

You embrace what’s possible. You use AI tools because they make the work better and faster, and you hold your own standard of taste and craft high enough that the output still looks like it was made by someone who gives a damn.

You collaborate and elevate. You work closely with creative directors, strategists, and developers. You share ideas, give feedback, and help raise the quality of everything around you.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products, websites, or brand systems. A portfolio that shows the full arc from brand identity to digital execution, with clear evidence of systems thinking throughout.
  • Deep technical fluency in Figma. Component libraries, tokens, variables, auto layout. You build real design systems, not just polished mocks.
  • A product mindset. Interaction logic, design patterns, and an instinct for how decisions in one part of a system affect the whole.
  • A strong visual sensibility and a genuine sense of taste, the kind you hold even when tools make it easy to cut corners.
  • Good to have: motion experience, frontend basics, or time spent working closely alongside a development team.
What We Offer
  • Salary: €4.000–4.500 per month, depending on experience, plus 8% holiday allowance, with a clear path as you grow.
  • We will give you meaningful access to creative directors and studio leadership to support your growth and your work.
  • We will reward strong performance with salary increases and real recognition.
  • We will support you with a €1.200 annual growth budget and up to two paid development days a year to actually use it.
  • We will give you access to unlimited books, Lunch and Learn sessions, and the annual High Five conference.
  • We serve healthy(ish) lunches every day at both studios.
  • We cover your travel fully: NS business card for public transport, or €0.21 per km by car or bike.
  • We contribute 2.5% on top of your monthly gross salary toward your pension via BrightPensioen. Your pot stays yours, even if you leave.
  • We offer a confidential advisor outside your day‑to‑day team, always on your side, always confidential.
  • We give you €150 toward noise‑cancelling headphones. Focus matters.
Our culture

We choose depth over noise, clarity over cleverness, and momentum over perfectionism. We say no to the wrong briefs. We push hard on the right ones. Our values are Love, Sense and Challenge.

We work in‑person at least four days a week, Amsterdam or The Hague, with up to six weeks a year from anywhere in the world.
