Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technical expert in the Supply Chain IT team to own DC-focused applications and infrastructure. You will implement, test and optimize technical systems across voice picking, mobile devices, labeling, CCTV, and access solutions.

You will monitor infrastructure, translate requirements into technical specs, and lead smaller projects with coaching for junior staff. English fluency is required; French/German are a plus.

Qualifications

• HBO or Master’s degree with 5+ years in a similar IT role.
• ITIL certification is required.
• Knowledge of DC automation is essential.
• Proficient in English; French and/or German is a plus.
• Extensive experience with IT infrastructure and applications in the relevant domain.
• Project management experience is recommended.

Responsibilities

• You are the technical expert within the Supply Chain IT team and own multiple applications and technical areas within DCs.
• Implement, configure and test technical infrastructure and applications in the DC landscape.
• Monitor the technical infrastructure and advise on improvements.
• Translate functional requirements into technical specs and change requests.
• Monitor supplier incident handling per SLAs and escalate when needed.
• Independently manage smaller projects with support from the Service Delivery Manager.
• Coach junior and medior Technical Specialists in daily activities and development.
• Identify improvement opportunities and align with business stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation per guidelines and IT control framework.

Job description

• You are the technical expert within the Supply Chain IT team and carry full responsibility for multiple specific applications and technical areas, including voice picking, mobile computers, label printing, CCTV, access solutions and IT equipment rooms within the DCs.
• Implementing, configuring and testing technical infrastructure and applications within the DC landscape
• Actively monitoring the technical infrastructure and proactively advising on improvements
• Translating functional requirements into technical specifications and change requests
• Monitoring the handling of incidents by suppliers based on agreed SLAs and escalating where necessary
• Independently managing smaller projects without a Project Manager, supported by the Service Delivery Manager
• Coaching junior and medior Technical Specialists in their daily activities and development
• Identifying improvement opportunities on your own initiative and aligning with business stakeholders
• Ensuring complete and up-to-date documentation in accordance with current guidelines and the IT control framework

Requirements

• Higher professional education (HBO) or Master's level with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• At least 5 years of experience in IT
• ITIL certification is required
• Knowledge of DC automation is essential
• Extensive experience with technical infrastructure and applications within the area of responsibility
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of French and/or German is an advantage
• Project management experience is recommended
• Strong relationship management, risk management and stakeholder communication skills
