Job summary

League Geophysics seeks a Medior/Senior Software Developer to lead software development for its cable tracking systems. The role blends technical leadership with hands-on coding in Rust and Python, plus integration with embedded hardware for marine systems and drones.

You will mentor a global development team, drive architecture decisions, and contribute to offshore operations software. Flexible, primarily office-based with occasional remote work and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Has 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Has expert knowledge of Rust; Python experience is a plus.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and I/O operations.
• Familiarity with hardware integration and embedded systems.
• Interest or experience with marine systems and/or drones.
• Strong background in software architecture and design patterns.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for system software architecture and decisions.
• Ensure code quality and best practices across the team; conduct design reviews.
• Mentor and coach junior developers; promote agile practices.
• Develop and maintain software for cable tracker systems in collaboration with hardware teams.
• Work on geophysical analysis software and algorithms; integrate software with hardware components.
• Build robust, scalable offshore applications and enable remote support capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across time zones; participate in agile/scrum processes.
