Job summary

FinOps Weekly in Zwolle seeks a Software Asset & FinOps Manager to govern software licenses, costs, and contracts. You will lead SAM, contract analysis, and FinOps initiatives to improve usage insight, compliance, and financial governance across a complex IT environment.

The role spans IT, Procurement, Finance, and Legal support, with responsibility for data quality, reporting, and optimization opportunities in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years of relevant SAM/FinOps experience in a complex IT environment.
• Demonstrable experience with Software Asset Management and contract administration.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach.
• Ability to turn findings into clear advice for stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset for identifying risks, deviations, and optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the software, contract, and license records in tooling and documentation.
• Determine and update the license position using contracts and usage data.
• Identify compliance risks, misusage, and inefficiencies.
• Support internal controls, audits, true-ups, and reviews.
• Assess license impact when usage, infra, or contracts change.
• Translate complex license terms into practical management agreements and reports.
• Analyze SaaS and cloud contracts for licensing implications and cost impact.
• Produce regular reports on license position and cost development.
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, legal support, and Contract Management.
