Job summary

ESA’s ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands, seeks a Secure Connectivity System Architecture Engineer to join the System Architecture Section within the Secure Connectivity System Office. You will define and maintain the IRIS² system architecture, ensure traceability of requirements, and coordinate with multiple offices and industry partners.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required with 4 years of professional experience.
• Master's degree alternative: bachelor’s degree plus four additional years of experience accepted.
• Experience with system-of-systems architectures and security considerations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Define, consolidate and update the IRIS² system architecture across system, segment and physical levels.
• Ensure traceability of requirements from the mission baseline to system and segment levels.
• Maintain the Secure Connectivity architecture roadmap and incremental releases.
• Coordinate with Ground, Security, Space Segment Offices and industry partners.
• monitor schedules, assess risks and propose mitigation actions from both industry and ESA sides.
• Report regularly to project management on area of competence and progress.
