Job summary

NIRAS Nederland is seeking a Process Energy Consultant to drive process design for energy projects in the Food & Beverage sector. You will lead studies, run simulations, and develop design packages while collaborating across engineering disciplines.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in energy-efficient process design, a Chemical Engineering or Food/Energy Technology background, and fluency in English (Dutch preferred). Hybrid work and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

About 10+ years in Process Design/consultancy for energy-efficient food & beverage processes.
Background in Chemical Engineering, Food or Energy Technology.
Experience with sustainable process or utility design in F&B plants.
Experience with electrification of industrial plants.
Fluent in English; Dutch language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead Process Design activities within energy projects.
Perform process studies and simulations of complex systems.
Resolve complex technical issues for clients.
Develop Engineering Design packages for key segments (heat recovery, heat pumps).
Contribute to development of Process & Technology department.
Share knowledge to develop colleagues’ skills and abilities.
Collaborate with NIRAS experts to deliver high-quality projects.
Represent NIRAS at client meetings and external events.
Liaise with external vendors on technical specifications and innovations.
