Job summary

NN’s Api Squad focuses on building a robust, secure API Platform on AWS, deployed with Kubernetes. You’ll contribute as a Senior Platform Engineer, improving the WSO2 platform, automating pipelines, and applying DevOps and reliability practices.

The role emphasizes Java, Kubernetes, and API management, with a competitive salary and extensive training benefits. This is a hands-on, globally collaborating team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or similar role, with Java focus.
• Experience with Kubernetes, CKAD certification is a big plus.
• Experience with API Management platforms (WSO2, Kong, Mulesoft or similar).
• Solid AWS cloud knowledge (Networking, PaaS, IaaS, IAM).
• Experience with GitOps deployment management.
• Nice to have Python knowledge.

Job description

API’s are the backbone of engineering and at Api Squad of NN we are making sure that we deliver an Api Platform which is highly robust,secure and customer friendly and for that we are looking for a skilled API Devops Engineer to join our team. In this team you will work on top of the line tools such as WSO2 as an Api Platform deployed via Kubernetes on our AWS cloud. What you are going to do As an Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining and improving our WSO2 platform. you will get under the hood of our tech landscape to realize seamless engineering experience, You have a good command on modern software engineering practices with a focus on team culture and engineering excellence, mostly focusing on DevOps, shift-left practices, test automation, reliability engineering. The current version of the platform is being built as a software product. This means that we follow lean and agile methodologies to ship features as with a software project. We gradually release software in alpha and beta phases and gather feedback from users during these early stages. Every change is built locally and integrated from the version control system through a pull request. Another important design principle is simplicity. We aim to optimize the work of the team, so that it becomes more fun to deliver our environment due to reduced complexity and ease of new feature development. Simplification leads to more agility to respond to our users’ demands. We are significantly shifting towards more cloud native services. Does this trigger your interest? Your responsibilities

• You enable the business to focus on where it matters and adds value, developing microservices, managing platform, building managed pipelines etc
• You have worked with Api platforms and know the lifecycle of API Management
• You have extensive experience working with Java

• Salary between €5,933 and €7,910 based on a 40-hour work week, depending on your knowledge and experience

• 6+ years of experience working with Platform Engineer and Programming language ideally Java, if you have worked with Quarkus that’s a big plus
• Experience with Kubernetes, CKAD Certification is a big plus
• Experience working with Api Management platform such as WSO2, Kong, mulesoft or similar is a big plus
• Solid AWS cloud knowledge and experience (Networking, PaaS, IaaS, IAM)
• Experience with GitOps deployment management
• Nice to have working knowledge of Python
• Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or terraform

• Strong communication (at least English), analytical and collaboration skills
• Working well in a team environment, including the ability to collaborate with others and contribute to team goals

This domain has a scale-up type of culture and consists of a group of energetic and empowered engineers and product teams.
