Job summary

Share is hiring a Senior Network Developer to design and build a distributed, multi-provider backbone via code, ensuring API-driven provisioning and fast, reliable connectivity across continents.

You will own the network architecture end to end, from edge to data center, and influence standards for partners, with opportunities to grow the network engineering team as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating large networks at a hyperscaler, CDN, internet exchange, carrier or ISP.
• Deep BGP at scale: route policy, communities, RPKI, traffic engineering, peering and transit.
• Strong data center and backbone design. You know Clos/EVPN-VXLAN fabrics and MPLS or Segment Routing, and when each makes sense.
• Hands-on with white-box or disaggregated networking, including choosing hardware and knowing where the silicon limits you.
• You treat the network as code. You write automation yourself (Python or similar), and you've built or run the pipelines, source of truth and telemetry that make that safe.
• You've owned availability for something that couldn't go down, and can walk us through a real incident: what broke, how you found it, and what you changed.
• AI-native in how you work. You've built with these tools, not just used them, and you have a view on where they help in operations and where they don't.
• You think like an owner. You bring ideas, not tickets, and you want to help build a team, not just a network.
• A clear, direct communicator who's comfortable with partners' engineers and with our founders.

Responsibilities

• Design the backbone and PoP architecture as standard, repeatable building blocks from edge to data center.
• Drive transition to Segment Routing and a clean IP architecture, including IPv4 reuse and IPv6.
• Build on disaggregated white-box hardware (Edgecore with IP Infusion OcNOS) and manage hardware/software choices.
• Turn operations into software: Nautobot as truth, templated config with Jinja, and CI/CD with validation and rollouts.
• Build telemetry and observability to show the network in action; apply AI for anomaly detection, automated triage, and auto-remediation.
• Own availability; mitigate failures, diagnose issues, and implement post-mortems to fixes in the system.
• Collaborate with software team on API and provisioning layer; coordinate with partner ISPs' engineers on hand-offs.
• Help hire and develop the engineers who'll run this with you.
