Job summary

Nextens is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to our Dutch tax platform. You will build backend and frontend components, ensuring scalable, well-tested software that supports thousands of tax professionals.

You will work in Team Fiscal, applying modern engineering practices and collaborating with domain experts to translate evolving tax rules into reliable solutions. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of hands-on software development experience with .NET Core and Azure.
• Fluency in English; reading Dutch requirements is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance core modules for tax filing and compliance used by thousands.
• Develop back-end and front-end components (APIs, interfaces, integrations).
• Apply modern engineering practices and test-driven development.
• Collaborate with domain experts and product owners to translate regulations into software.
• Ensure reliability, quality and maintainability through refactoring and testing.
