Job summary

Radian in Hengelo, the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive our transition from prototype to production for high-performance electric motorcycles. You will own major mechanical systems through design, validation, and production readiness, balancing performance, manufacturability, cost and quality.

You will collaborate with electrical, software and manufacturing teams, mentor junior engineers, and help shape engineering best practices in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Proven ability to take complex products from prototype to production.
• SolidWorks experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Play a major role in the mechanical development from prototype to production.
• Design, optimize and validate mechanical components and assemblies for production.
• Improve designs for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), reliability and cost.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers on component development, manufacturing processes and quality.
• Define tolerances, manufacturing methods and production documentation.
• Perform design reviews, engineering calculations and root cause analyses.
• Support prototype builds, testing and validation activities.
• Work together with electrical, software and manufacturing engineers to deliver an integrated product.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the development process.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building engineering best practices.
