Job summary

Lam Research in the Netherlands seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and define cutting-edge mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems. You will conduct feasibility studies, perform testing, and guide teams in detailed design and fabrication to shape packaging technology.

You will contribute to high‑quality documentation, GD&T per SEMI standards, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams. A strong CAD background and experience in semiconductor contexts are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support full life cycle of mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems from concept to productization, including design, CAD modeling, development and test.
• Design components using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and coatings.
• Ensure documentation aligns with SEMI and Lam GD&T standards.
• Conduct structural, FEA, thermal, and manufacturability analyses to specify designs.
• Develop feasibility studies and test plans to characterize performance.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating design intent and validation results.
