Job summary

Spiral Hydrogen in Rotterdam is seeking a Manufacturing and Production Development engineer to advance a novel bubble-free alkaline electrolyzer from first prototypes to 10–100 kW pilots. You will join a small team of engineers focused on mechanical design, sealing, channels and manufacturing scalability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product development and production, hands-on experience with testing, metrology, and design for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience building new products, prototypes, testing and metrology.
• 5+ years with production and manufacturing processes; experience with design for manufacturing, injection molding, assembly lines, New Product Introduction is useful.
• Experience with hydrogen systems or related manufacturing technologies is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Take the rotating bubble-free alkaline electrolyzer from prototypes to 10–100 kW pilots (TRL 6–7).
• Work on mechanical and manufacturing aspects: sealing, liquid and gas channels, vibration analysis, design for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with a small team of engineers to build thousands of cells with micron precision.
• Contribute to development of a new architecture for scalable production.
