Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands seeks a (Senior) Manager to lead resilience, crisis management and security transformation efforts in Defence and National Security. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams and work with senior client stakeholders on practical solutions to strengthen the Netherlands' safety and stability.

You will advise on strategic preparation, governance, and program delivery and coach junior colleagues while building client relationships and contributing to new propositions.

Qualifications

• A strong advisory profile with experience in defense, national security or resilience.

• Excellent Dutch communication skills (native level) and proficient English.

Geopolitical tensions, hybrid threats, cyber risks, disinformation, disruptions to critical infrastructure and vulnerabilities in society are changing and complicating the current threat landscape. As a (Senior) Manager, you will focus on challenges related to resilience within the domain of Defense and National Security. At Deloitte.

You will lead complex client assignments at the intersection of resilience, defence and national security. You will work together with multidisciplinary Deloitte teams and senior stakeholders at clients on practical solutions that contribute to a safer and more stable Netherlands.

Your work may include:

• Leading projects in the areas of resilience, crisis management, business continuity and security transformation;
• Advising clients within the Defence and National Security sector on strategic preparation and response;
• Designing operating models, governance structures, scenarios, exercises and roadmaps for implementation purposes;
• Helping translate strategic security priorities into actionable programs;
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to new propositions and innovative solutions;
• Coaching consultants and analysts and helping them develop professionally and personally.

• A strong advisory profile and you bring relevant experience within defense, national security, security or a related field. Or you are an experienced professional in the public sector, working in the field of defense and national security, and want to make the transition to an advisory role;
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably within consultancy, on the themes of defense, national security, security or resilience;
• A clear interest in the defense and national security agenda in the Netherlands and Europe;
• Experience in managing teams, managing senior stakeholders and delivering complex projects and programs;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch at native level (and preferably English), both orally and in writing;
• Strong analytical and social skills. You are proactive, team-oriented, structured and a real problem solver. In addition, you have the ability to act with integrity, discretion and professional judgment;
• A completed Master's degree in social sciences, communication sciences, international relations, security studies, public administration, security and risk management, computer science or another relevant field;
• The Dutch nationality, due to screening and security clearance requirements.
