Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands is seeking a Databricks Solution Architect to design holistic data platforms leveraging Databricks in alignment with business goals. You will collaborate with platform engineers and data practitioners to deliver scalable architectures that support AI and advanced analytics.

The role requires a technical master's degree, 8+ years of cloud data-architecture experience, and strong English; Dutch language is a plus.

Qualifications

• A technical master's degree is required (CS/SE/analytics-related).
• 8+ years designing data architectures in cloud environments (Azure / AWS / GCP).
• Proven Databricks experience and cloud integration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data solutions using Databricks across ingestion, processing, storage and analytics.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate goals into technical requirements.
• Establish patterns for Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and medallion architectures.
• Design integrations with external systems and cloud-native data services.
• Ensure security, governance and compliance are embedded in solutions.
• Provide guidance on performance, scalability and cost management.
• Support pre-sales activities and contribute to proposals as needed.
• Mentor Deloitte Databricks engineers and act as trusted advisor.
• Drive new use-cases for Databricks features (Agent Bricks, Genie, Lakebase).

Lead the design and delivery of enterprise Databricks solutions, shaping secure,scalableand optimized data platforms that enable AI and advanced analytics. • Engage with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design end-to-end data solutionsleveragingdeep understanding ofDatabricks, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics.
• Establish architectural patterns and best practices for Lakehouse, Delta Lake,Unity Catalog,and medallion architectures.
• Design integration solutions with external systems (cloud-native data services, visualization tools, etc.).
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance requirements are incorporated in solution.
• Perform technical reviews, provide guidance on performance optimization, scalability, and cost management.
• Support technical pre-sales and contribute to proposal development asrequired.
• Be an expert, leader, and trusted advisor for clients and colleaguesonDatabricks.
• Playa central rolein the implementation of Databricks solutions,and provideguidance & mentorship to more junior Deloitte Databricks engineers.
• Be a thought leader in the Databricks space and drive new use-cases for Databricks' latest features, such as Agent Bricks,GenieandLakebase.

• A technical master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field;
• At least 8 years of work experience designing data architectures in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP); consulting experience is a plus;
• Proven experience with Databricks and its integration with other cloud services;
• Proven experience in leading medium- tolarge sizedteams on complex Databricks deliveries;
• In-depth knowledge of data platform security, governance, and compliance frameworks;
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, and advanced analytics concepts;
• Relevant Databricks, Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloudcertificates areadvantageous;
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch is desirable.

As a Databricks Solution Architect you will design holistic data solutions that leverage Databricks best practices in alignment with business and technical requirements. This role acts asa linking pinbetween business stakeholders, platform engineers, and data practitioners, ensuring robust, scalable, and cost-effective architectures.
