Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden is recruiting a Senior Lab Technician in Advanced Therapeutics, Analytical Development. The role supports release and stability testing, assay qualifications, and routine GMP work in a dynamic team.

The candidate will culture cells, document results, and mentor junior staff, contributing to process development and equipment maintenance within a GMP framework. English skills required; Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

MBO or HBO level in a life science study.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
Affinity with execution of assays under a GMP quality system is a must.
Experienced with assay qualifications/validations is a strong advantage.
Experienced with laboratory management systems.
Developed interpersonal skills and able to build strong relationships.
Flexible and accurate; good communication in English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

Release and Stability testing of GMP/TOX and clinical batches for Advanced Therapeutics products under GMP quality system.
Execution of Assay qualifications on GMP qualified laboratories.
Performing assays on a routine basis with a 'first time right attitude'.
Accurate completion of documentation such as digital assay run sheets, laboratory notebooks and equipment logbooks.
Support Process Development testing for Process Development.
Culturing of cells, including passaging and seeding of cells.
Write and update various documents (e.g. test instructions, work instructions).
Routine testing across GMP and non-GMP work streams.
Working with external parties (with no direct line management duties).
Mentoring and influencing junior staff.
