Signicat in Enschede is seeking a Senior Java Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, scale, and secure the ReadID SaaS backend. You will bridge backend software engineering and cloud operations to enable high-throughput, zero-downtime deployments across GCP/AWS with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong Java skills: 7+ years of professional experience in server-side Java (Java 17+, Jakarta EE / Java EE, Spring / Spring Boot).
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on with GCP (or AWS) and Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and modern CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain the ReadID SaaS backend with a security-first mindset.
• Cloud & Container Orchestration: Manage multi-region Kubernetes (GKE) on GCP/AWS.
• CI/CD & Progressive Delivery: Build robust pipelines with zero-downtime releases and automated rollbacks.
• Quality & Documentation: Write clean, well-documented code with tests and API docs.
• Agile Collaboration: Work with global teams and enterprise customers in an agile setup.
