Athora Netherlands, a Dutch insurance group, is seeking an IT Security Analyst to strengthen its SOC. You will detect, analyze and resolve security incidents as part of a six-person security team, while contributing to SOC development and process improvements.

You’ll expand detection capabilities, participate in incident response and 24x7 on-call rotations, and have access to training opportunities including SANS. Hybrid work from Amsterdam is possible with a supportive learning environment.

Formación

• A completed relevant HBO training in IT Security or Informatics.
• Minimum 5 years of IT Security experience, ideally in a SOC.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Windows environments.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Familiarity with SIEM systems and security monitoring techniques.
• KQL experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, hands-on mindset and proactive attitude.
• Clear communication in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Resident of the Netherlands.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze security incidents (2nd to 3rd line) with prioritization and follow-up.
• Perform scenario analyses to proactively detect threats.
• Research new attack techniques and develop effective detection/mitigation measures.
• Participate in incident response processes and contribute to safeguarding measures.
• Improve detection logic by developing and expanding Athora use cases.
• Run on-call duties as part of 24x7 SOC with compensation.
• Contribute to further SOC development, tooling and automation (e.g., Logic Apps).
• Apply knowledge from SANS trainings in practice (annual SANS training reimbursed).
• Support functional management of Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
