Job summary

Salt develops software and IT services, including a shared native iOS library used across consumer-facing applications by millions of users.

Salt is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to lead the technical direction of the mobile library, define standards, and mentor other engineers while shipping robust Swift code for high-traffic apps.

You will collaborate with Android and backend teams, participate in on-call duties, and help migrate backend services affecting mobile integrations.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of native iOS development experience with Swift.
• Deep expertise in scalable, maintainable Swift code for consumer apps.
• Proven experience defining mobile architecture and setting technical direction for others.
• Experience with libraries or platform components consumed by other product teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, cross-team communication, and ownership skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and support the shared iOS library used by front-end teams to send events to the backend.
• Lead iOS technical direction and architecture for the mobile library.
• Define standards and best practices for a large-scale, consumer-facing codebase.
• Design and implement robust, production-quality Swift code for internet-scale traffic.
• Collaborate with the Android core engineer and backend partners on cross-platform architecture.
