Job summary

Ayvens, a Société Générale subsidiary, is recruiting a Senior Internal Audit Data and AI Specialist in Amsterdam to shape data analytics and AI-enabled audits. You will design, develop and deliver analytics, ML solutions and data tools for the Internal Audit team, working with data experts across Ayvens and the SG group.

You will help embed data and AI into the audit lifecycle, strengthen auditors' data capabilities, and contribute to selective IT and risk-focused audits in a regulated

Qualifications

• University degree in data science, computer science, AI, statistics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in data analytics, data science, ML or data engineering, preferably in finance/risk/audit.
• Hands-on development of data/AI solutions with Python and SQL, data pipelines, APIs and code quality practices.
• Experience translating business or audit questions into analytical insights.

Join us, and get better with every move.As **Senior Data and Artificial Intelligence Specialist**, you will design, develop and deliver advanced data analytics, data science and AI solutions for the IGAD - Ayvens Internal Audit team. Based in Amsterdam, you will be an integral member of the Digital, Transformation and Analytics audit team and will work closely with Data & AI Specialists and audit teams across Ayvens (Amsterdam, Paris and Bucharest) and Société Générale Group.You will help accelerate the data and AI transformation of Internal Audit by improving data access, strengthening auditors' data capabilities, embedding data and AI throughout the audit lifecycle, and developing reusable tools and methods. You will also contribute directly to selected IT, operational and data-centric audits, building a strong understanding of Ayvens' processes, systems, data and risk environment.The role reports hierarchically to the Director Audit (Digital, Transformation and Analytics) in Amsterdam and operates in close alignment with the IGAD data analytics roadmap.**Your main responsibilities*** Drive the data and AI transformation of Ayvens Internal Audit by implementing the data-driven audit strategy across data access, auditors' capabilities, integration of data into the audit process, and data/AI tools, while maintaining a prioritized and measurable roadmap.* Support data work for audit assignments: clarify audit questions, assess feasibility and expected value, identify and securely obtain reliable data, select and apply appropriate analytics, statistical or machine-learning techniques, and translate results into evidence-based findings, and reusable deliverables.* Design, develop, and execute data analytics initiatives specifically for Ayvens Group's third line of defence (internal controls and risk management).* Develop, test and document reusable solutions, including analytics, automations, queries, data-processing pipelines and API integrations, and support their industrialization.* Maintain robust tools and governance by managing source code and technical documentation in line with code-quality standards.* Promote innovation and continuous improvement through technology watch, research and automation initiatives that improve audit effectiveness, efficiency and technical capabilities of Internal Audit.* Build data and AI capabilities across the team by facilitating the Ayvens data-champions community, training and coaching auditors, supporting practical cases, and leading or contributing to data bootcamps for upcoming assignments.* Represent Ayvens Internal Audit and contribute to the wider data & AI community, sharing experience, developing common tools and position papers, supporting training, and promoting reuse and joint initiatives across the Ayvens Group.**To succeed in this role, you have the following skills and experience:**You combine strong data and AI expertise with hands-on development experience, an interest in audit and risk, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic international environment.Professional experience* At least three years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, machine learning or data engineering, preferably in financial services, risk management, internal audit or another regulated environment;* Hands-on development experience designing, building, testing and documenting data or AI solutions, using Python and SQL and working with data-processing pipelines, APIs, source control and code-quality practices;* Experience translating business, risk or audit questions into reliable analytical approaches and clear, evidence-based insights;* Experience in internal or external audit is an advantage rather than a prerequisite. A good understanding of risk-based auditing and the end-to-end audit process would be valued;* Functional knowledge of financial services is an advantage, while knowledge of vehicle leasing and mobility services would be beneficial.Education, technical expertise and personal capabilities* University degree in data science, computer science, artificial intelligence, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, management information systems or a related field;* Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, strong data science skills and a good understanding of data engineering, together with experience using visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau or KNIME;* Knowledge of AI architectures, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation and AI agents;* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess data quality, select appropriate techniques and communicate limitations clearly;* A self-starter and fast learner who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively and share knowledge with the wider team;* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data and AI topics to technical and non-technical audiences; fluent English, both written and spoken;* High standards of integrity, discretion and reliability, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately;* Willingness to travel internationally to Ayvens entities, in principle up to 20% depending on the audit plan.Ayvens, a subsidiary of Société Générale, is a global sustainable-mobility player.
