Job summary

Comaen is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to contribute to one of Europe’s largest energy infrastructure projects. You will design instrumentation for CO2 transport pipelines, meet stations and safety features, and collaborate with process, automation, operations and asset management teams.

The role requires a HBO/WO degree in Electrotechnics or related fields and 10+ years of experience in CCS or energy infrastructure. Hybrid work in Amersfoort is possible; project duration ~3 years.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of instrumentation engineering experience in CCS, process industry, energy infrastructure, oil & gas, or similar.
• Experience with FEED and/or basic engineering and preparing and reviewing P&ID documents.
• Knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, and analysis methods; valves, actuators, safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation design for CO2 transport pipelines, shut-off and tie-in diagrams, metering stations and pump stations.
• Develop and evaluate instrumentation concepts and measuring solutions for pressure, temperature, flow and quality.
• Review deliverables from engineering contractors and contribute to Philosophy documents and safety studies (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA/SIL).
