Heerema Marine Contractors in Leiden seeks a (Senior) Installation Engineer to lead offshore installation projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence. You will develop offshore execution methods, perform engineering and project preparation for heavy lift and other offshore works, review deliverables, and coordinate subcontractor scopes.

A bachelor or master in Civil, Maritime or Mechanical engineering and 3–8 years of offshore experience are required.

• 3–8 years of experience in offshore engineering and project preparation/execution.
• Experience with heavy lift installation projects and offshore operations.

Your role in the story

As a (Senior) Installation Engineer at Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC), you play a critical role in the successful execution of complex offshore installation projects. Your expertise and leadership ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You provide technical work preparation services in product development, study, tender, and commercial projects on products such as removal, heavy lift, subsea, and renewables.

You will be deployed within one of our product lines: Wind, T&I, and Decommissioning, where you will contribute to innovative and complex offshore operations. Your ability to manage and coordinate these multifaceted tasks places you at the forefront of engineering excellence, driving the success of offshore projects and making a significant impact in the industry.

What you will be working on

• Develop offshore execution methods for offshore projects, selection of required equipment, concept and detail design of lifting arrangements etc.;
• Perform engineering, technical project preparation and execution support of offshore projects, i.e. heavy lift installation projects;
• Review and organize review of internal and external deliverables (drawings, reports and procedures);
• Prepare and coordinate subcontractor Scope of Works.

Key ingredients for success

• A Bachelor and/or Master degree Civil Engineering, Maritime or Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 3-8 years of experience in engineering, project preparation and execution of offshore projects.
